Study in Rome

Photos in Rome

The IPS Summer Rome program offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the historical, cultural, and spiritual riches of the Eternal City and the Vatican.  Guided by faculty members with deep personal connections to local academic and ecclesial leaders, the program is tailored for IPS students but welcomes others.
International study scholarships and flexible payment plans ensure that the program is accessible to full- and part-time IPS students and non-degree-seeking students looking for personal enrichment or pursuing graduate degrees elsewhere.

Are you ready to transform your summer into a unique learning adventure? The IPS Rome program offers an unparalleled learning environment that transcends the traditional classroom setting in Chicago. During our Rome residency, we explore some of Rome's most iconic landmarks and attractions, including St. Peter's Square, St. Ignatius sites, and much more.

Join us one summer to:
  • Complete a core or elective course toward your degree
  • Reconnect with your spirituality while living in the Eternal City, Rome
  • Combine classroom lessons and adventures abroad

The IPS Rome 2025 residency

June 1-10, 2025

The Rome Program Fee covers...

  • Accommodations at CAMPLUS San Pietro, awarded in the category “Building Renovation/Regeneration Project” in 2023, located within walking distance from the Vatican.
  • Group Meals each day (with the exception of the “free day” for you to plan yourself).
The meals include continental breakfast provided by the hotel, and either lunch or dinner depending on the program of the day.
Group meals will be spent together in various locations and paid for by the fees.  The meals in the city we have on tour days are “fixed” and will not require ordering from a menu. We will walk into the restaurant, and the wait staff will begin serving bread, wine, water, appetizers, and the meal. These are designed to be a true experience of Roman dining and would be difficult to achieve on one’s own. It’s all part of the educational experience!  We will ask you to share your dietary restrictions with us.
  • Group coaches, public transportation.
  • All group entrance tickets.
  • Group guides and speakers.
  • You are responsible for your own airfare, transportation to the Camplus on the day of your arrival and departure.
  • Any additional costs you incur at the places of residence (phone calls, additional meals, room service) will be your responsibility.
