LUMEN / myLUMEN Banner

LUMEN and myLUMEN are websites developed for SSOM students that provide access to course/clerkship materials and information. Please see the descriptions below for additional information about each site.

LUMEN

LUMEN (Loyola University Medical Education Network) is a legacy content delivery site for Stritch School of Medicine courses and clerkships. This site is organized by year with a course/clerkship homepage listed below the appropriate medical school year (M1, M2, etc.).

Select a course/clerkship name to view the course/clerkship homepage. Each homepage provides information about the course, including goals and objectives, faculty oversight and course support, and links to supplemental course materials.

Session materials can be quickly accessed by selecting Calendar or Course Activities to the right of each course/clerkship name. These links provide either a calendar or a list view of the sessions for each course, along with materials relevant to each session, including objectives, handouts, slides, and videos.

myLUMEN

myLUMENis the student portal for SSOM medical students. This portal requires students to log in with their LUC credentials. This portal is where students will complete all administrative tasks required as a medical student, including (but not limited to):

  • Complete course/clerkship evaluations
  • Take SSOM online exams
  • Submit clerkship log files
  • Request a tutor
  • Upload a CV for Student Affairs

Learn More

Materials posted on LUMEN are now linked to specific course/clerkship Sakai project sites. The LUMEN website remains a quick reference for faculty/administrators who are not enrolled in courses but need access to course content for administrative activities. Training sessions are not offered for LUMEN.

Students receive an overview of myLUMEN through M1 orientation materials and from course/clerkship faculty and staff. Additional training sessions are not offered, but support is available through the ITS Service Desk
